We recommend using zellige tiles on your walls or in light traffic areas such as wet rooms, bathrooms, and in kitchens for splashbacks.
Zellige tile has a history of being used in wet areas like fountains and pools because their unique properties make them waterproof.When it comes to using zellige tiles in the shower, there are a few things to keep in mind:
1. Use smaller tiles, such as our zellige mosaic or unglazed zellige tile and 2x6 zellige tile – the more grout lines, the better the slip resistance.
2. Seal grout joints – the glaze is waterproof, and so should the grout.
3. Apply a non-slip coating, especially for larger tiles, such as our 4×4 zellige tiles.
